RHYTHMICAL MASSAGE THERAPY ASSOCIATION

The purpose of the RMTA of North America is to promote and develop the therapeutic application of Rhythmical Massage as created and elaborated by Dr. Ita Wegman and Dr. Margarete Hauschka. We regard the Anthroposophical view of the human being as an essential foundation for our work. We will act as a forum to foster relationships among the members of the RMTA in North

The mission of AAATNA (Association of Anthroposophical Art Therapists in North-America) is to serve our members by creating opportunities to exchange artistic experiences and undertake professional development.  Through these commitments we will build a bridge to the wider world community, creating awareness of Art as an instrument for healing and social change.

In order to facilitate a deep sense of colleagueship and professional development we hold regular meetings, share our work and research, engage in artistic activities, and

Lyre association of north america

Anthroposophic Music Therapists do not have their own professional association. However, most music therapists are also a member of the Lyre Association of North America (LANA), which is at the same time the Movement for Musical Renewal. Inspired by the ideas of Anthroposophy, it is characterized by the application of the phenomenological approach of Wolfgang von Goethe to music, in which we attempt

to engage in active listening and to experience the essence of the most basic elements of music, such as the single tone and the musical interval. Moreover, we acknowledge and explore the relationship of music to the different aspects of the human being--physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Members of LANA are not automatically members of AAMTA.
